Seeking Justice and Financial Compensation in a Two-Car Crash Case

Getting into a motor vehicle crash may be a stressful and traumatic experience, particularly when injuries or a loss of life are involved. When another driver is to blame for the car wreck, eligible claimants may seek reimbursement through a claim for damages. An injured party may be entitled to medical bills, pain and suffering, wage loss, and other relevant losses in a bodily injury claim. To build a strong case for full compensation, there must be clear evidence demonstrating causation and damages, including police reports, medical records, eyewitness statements, expert testimony, video surveillance footage, etc.

In a wrongful death case, economic damages may include loss of earnings, funeral service costs, medical bills (via survival action), and other financial losses. It may also include loss of benefits, such as pensions, and loss of services the decedent may have provided to the household had they survived. Conversely, non-economic damages encompass intangible harm caused by the loss of life. This may include loss of companionship, mental anguish, etc. Aside from these two types of damages, punitive damages may also be sought in cases where the crash is the result of egregious conduct, like DUI or excessive speeding.
