Officials in Madera County reported a fatal rollover crash on SR-145 on the morning of Monday, January 24, 2022. The incident took place at State Route 145 and Avenue 8 ½ just south of the city of Madera at approximately 9:00 a.m.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to the scene of the incident. Upon arrival, it was determined that a car was involved in a single-vehicle accident. This resulted in the vehicle overturning and striking multiple trees in a nearby orchard. Sadly, the driver, an 18-year-old Madera woman, was declared deceased at the scene.
