Driver Ejected in Reported High-Speed Fatal Rollover Collision

The driver was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the crash and died. No one else was in the vehicle at the time. Authorities said the deceased driver was a male who appeared to be in his 30s. The investigation into the accident is being handled by the CHP traffic accident unit.

Run-Off-Road Accidents

It is important to note that not all run-off road accidents are the result of driver error. A run-off road fatal rollover collision can be caused by a variety of factors, including weather conditions, mechanical problems, and road design flaws. Listed below are some common causes other than driver error:

  • Failure to maintain proper tire pressure or faulty brakes may result in a driver losing control of their vehicle and veering off course. It may be possible to determine if the fatality accident was caused by a defect by retaining the car and allowing it to be inspected. An action for product liability may be brought in these situations.
  • Lack of maintenance or flaws in the design of the road could lead to drivers veering off the road. There are other factors that can lead to a fatal accident, such as potholes and other problems. There is a six-month statute of limitations on filing a claim against a government entity. Retaining the vehicle is essential so it can be checked for flaws that might have caused the fatal rollover collision.
  • Drivers may swerve off course due to animals darting out into traffic without warning, such as deer and rabbits. An owner may be held liable if negligence caused the animal to escape if livestock on the road is the accident cause.
