Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Dougherty Road

Officials in Alameda County reported a fatal pedestrian crash on Dougherty Road on the night of Sunday, July 31, 2022. The incident took place around 10:00 p.m. on the 6200 block of Dougherty Road near Dublin Boulevard and Interstate 580.

The Dublin Police Department responded to a call of a car vs. pedestrian accident and found a woman that had been hit by a Chevrolet SUV while walking in the area. The Alameda County Fire Department reported that first responders performed life-saving measures on the injured female pedestrian. Sadly, she succumbed to her injuries. The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau has recently identified the decedent as 39-year-old Roni Gage of Dublin.

The Chevrolet driver, a 42-year-old Livermore resident, stayed at the scene. Officials arrested the SUV driver on suspicion of DUI. Authorities also indicated that all streetlights near the crash site were functioning properly. Additional information on the fatal pedestrian accident on Dougherty Road has not yet been released due to an ongoing investigation by the Dublin PD Traffic Unit.
