Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Buchanan Road
The Antioch Police Department reported a fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on Buchanan Road on October 11, 2022. The incident occurred around 11:05 p.m. at the intersection of Buchanan Road and Contra Loma Boulevard, Antioch PD reported.

During a traffic incident investigation, officials determined that a 50-year-old woman was attempting to cross the street westbound at the intersection when she was allegedly struck by a vehicle. The car, headed southbound on Contra Loma Boulevard, allegedly left the scene following the pedestrian accident in Antioch.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Sadly, she was later declared deceased during hospitalization.
