Fatal Head-On Collision on Mariposa Road
On the early morning of Wednesday, December 14, 2022, CHP traffic officers reported a fatal head-on collision at Kaiser Road and Mariposa Road in Stockton. The incident occurred at approximately 5:10 a.m. and involved a Dodge and a Toyota, according to officials.

A preliminary report revealed that an eastbound Dodge reportedly veered over the double yellow lines of Mariposa Road and entered the oncoming traffic lane. This was where the Dodge collided head-on with a Toyota headed westbound on Mariposa Road.
The impact of the collision reportedly propelled the Dodge into a metal guardrail along the edge of the roadway. The Dodge allegedly caught fire following the crash, officials said. Sadly, both drivers of the Dodge and Toyota were declared deceased at the collision site.
