Fair Oaks Boulevard Accident Injury Occurs to Motorcyclist

A motorcyclist in Carmichael was injured in a solo vehicle motorcycle accident on May 1 near a local intersection. The crash occurred along Fair Oaks Boulevard between Hillcrest Way and Oak Avenue around 1:50 p.m. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers arrived and discovered the rider and bike on the right-hand side.

Injured Rider Transported to Hospital Following Motorcycle Accident

Sacramento Fire Department first responders arrived to assess injuries, which they determined to be minor. However, the motorcycle rider was transported to Mercy San Juan Medical Center for additional evaluation. A tow was required to remove the motorcycle.

Investigation Being Conducted Into Cause of Collision

At this point, no reason has been given as to the cause of the motorcycle accident. However, authorities are investigating to determine why it happened.

Negligence Other Than Rider Error That Can Cause a Motorcycle Accident Injury

In addition to rider error, motorcycle accidents are often caused by the negligence of other drivers. Motorcycle riders face a unique risk on the roadways due to their smaller size and limited visibility, making it difficult for them to be seen by other motorists.

  • Poor roadway conditions: Poorly maintained roads can pose a danger to all drivers, but they are especially hazardous for motorcycle riders. Potholes, debris in the roadway and pavement defects can cause motorcycle riders to lose control of their bikes and result in an accident. If the government entity responsible for the upkeep of the roadways is found to be at fault, a claim may be placed after a motorcycle accident injury to recover medical bills, wages and pain and suffering. Since the time limit to file this type of claim is six months, getting help from an accident attorney is advisable.
  • Vehicle defects: If another vehicle involved in an accident is found to have a defect that contributed to the crash, its manufacturer may be liable for any resulting injuries by filing a product liability claim. This makes it important to retain the damaged vehicle so that it can be inspected for defects.

The Importance of Retaining a Lawyer Following a Motorcycle Accident Injury

Motorcycle accidents can cause serious injuries, some of which may require extensive medical treatment. If you or someone you love is involved in a motorcycle accident, it’s important to seek legal advice and guidance as soon as possible. A qualified attorney can provide the representation and resources to secure fair compensation for your losses.

Evidence Gathering to Support Your Motorcycle Accident Injury Claim

A lawyer can help you gather all the evidence to present your case. They can access police accident reports, medical records and witness statements. Having complete documentation of an incident can be beneficial when seeking compensation.

Negotiating on Your Behalf to Recover Fair Compensation

An attorney has experience in dealing with insurance companies, and they are knowledgeable about laws that may apply to your case. Having a lawyer on your side can help to ensure that the insurance company is held accountable and that you receive fair compensation for your damages.
