ELK GROVE POLICE DEPARTMENT SEARCHING FOR A GUNMAN/CAR THIEF
- Elk Grove Police Department officers are looking for a gunman who shot at an Elk Grove man on Monday, September 28, 2015.
- The victim walking towards his car when he discovered a man trying to break into his blue, 2002 BMW.
- This incident happened at the 6200 block of Castro Verde Way in city of Elk Grove.
- Although the gunman fired at the victim, the bullet did not hit him.
- The car thief then drove off in the stolen car, dragging the victim with him.
- We have learned that this was not a random event. It appears to be more along the lines of a confrontation, police said.
- The victim was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION:
Police are looking for an adult black male, weighing approximately 230 pounds and about 5 foot 9.
The suspect was last seen fleeing in a blue 2002 BMW and wearing a purple hoodie.
