Two-Vehicle Injury Accident on Pecan Avenue Involves Hit-and-Run

A fleeing driver from an accident involving hit-and-run left injuries behind in Orangevale on December 8. The collision occurred around 5:46 p.m. on Pecan Avenue between Greenback Lane and Calvert Avenue. Both vehicles involved in the collision were found at the scene of the accident and identified as a Hyundai Santa Fe and a white truck, as reported by the California Highway Patrol (CHP)

Fleeing Driver Sought in Hit-and-Run Accident

Sacramento County first responders were called to the accident to assess injuries. The extent of trauma suffered by those involved was not reported. A search is being conducted for the driver who fled the accident scene, and an investigation is underway to discover fault.

Drivers Who Hit-and-Run

If a driver fled the scene after injuring you, an attorney can assist you with locating the motorist and holding them responsible. Having to deal with pain and suffering due to an injury, not being able to work and paying high medical bills is difficult enough. As a result of the trauma caused by the fleeing driver, your injuries should be his or her responsibility. As a law firm, we have pursued hit-and-run drivers to hold them accountable for their actions over the years.

  • It is necessary to inspect the vehicle that was struck, as well as the surrounding area, for paint marks and metal from the other car. This can be used to identify a vehicle’s make and model.
  • An accident might have been captured by a traffic surveillance camera, so the footage could be valuable.
  • It is also possible to obtain information from witnesses. The license plate number could have been remembered by a witness who witnessed the accident. Because some hit-and-run motorists live close to where the accident occurred, a witness may be able to identify the vehicle and perhaps even the driver.
  • In order to determine how the collision occurred, a crash reconstruction must be performed. This type of evidence is accepted by insurers and civil courts.

The evidence collected by the investigators for our accident attorneys is used to support our client’s compensation claim.

Insurance Coverage Can Recover Compensation

Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage may cover medical expenses if the other party cannot pay for the accident’s damages. The add-on insurance covers drivers, passengers, cyclists and pedestrians. When you didn’t choose to take this coverage, you can use the insurance of someone else within your immediate family instead. Rates are not changed.

Arbitration of Insurance Claims

Whenever you and the insurance company are unable to agree on the amount, you can hire a lawyer to represent you in arbitration. Injury lawyers have experience negotiating with insurance companies and can help you get compensation for your medical bills and other losses. Having already gathered evidence and documentation about your injuries, your lawyer can take the case to civil court if the insurance company refuses to provide the compensation you deserve.
