A little boy was running after a ball in the parking lot of an apartment complex when he was tragically struck by a delivery truck. We were saddened by the news that the 2-year-old died as a result of his catastrophic injuries.

The pedestrian fatality happened at the Aspen Park Apartments located at Center Parkway and Mack Road in South Sacramento.
How Did The Tragedy Occur?
Authorities indicated that the toddler came out from behind parked vehicles and was hit by the delivery truck. The child was transported to a local hospital where he died a short time later.
Who Is At Fault?
It is too soon to determine who is at fault in this tragic incident. It takes about ten days for a traffic collision report to be released by the investigating agency. Apparently, the driver of the delivery truck stopped to cooperate with investigators and did not appear to be speeding or under the influence, according to police.
