Community Events in American Canyon

I’m Ed Smith, an American Canyon car accident lawyer. Although American Canyon is a small city with a population of just over 20,000, it has a bustling community that offers a wide variety of events to entertain and delight both visitors and residents. Some of the events scheduled for the coming weeks in American Canyon are listed below.

Halloween Trivia Night

On the haunted day of Friday, October 13, 2017, the city will be hosting a friendly trivia competition at the Senior Multi-Use Center. Attendees will be able to enjoy free food and the company of others while competing in a Halloween-themed trivia contest. The winning team will receive a gift basket as a prize.

The event begins at 7:00 p.m., ends at 9:00, and is located at 2185 Elliot Drive in American Canyon. Groups and individuals should call (707) 647-5350 beforehand to register for the event.

Night Creatures Hike

The nearby Suisun Wildlife Center will be hosting a nature hike in American Canyon on October 21, 2017. The hike will begin at dusk when attendees will be led through the American Canyon hills while Wildlife Center members identify and teach about local animals that only come out after the sun goes down.

The Suisun Wildlife Center will also be bringing some of its ambassador owls, as well as giving a presentation on their hunting and nesting habits. The event will begin at 7000 Newell Drive at 5:30. Those wanting more information about the event can call (707) 648-7275.

Wild American Canyon – Bats

The local group Wild American Canyon will be giving a lecture at the American Canyon Library on October 25, 2017, all about bats. The lecture will be family friendly and visitors are encouraged to bring their kids along to learn more about these fantastic animals. The event takes place at 300 Crawford Way and starts at 6:30 p.m.

American Canyon’s Night Out

The fourth annual American Canyon’s Night Out event will be taking place on October 11, 2017. The city is inviting the entire community to the American Canyon High School where they will be able to enjoy the company of others while listening to a live DJ, eating from local and traveling food trucks, taking part in carnival style games, taking photos in customized photo booths, and more.

The event is free to enter but visitors are required to pay for the food they would like to eat and the games they would like to play. The Night Out will take place at 3000 Newell Drive and begins at 5:00 p.m.
