Client Meetings – Let’s Zoom

Zoom Client Meetings

Zoom is helping us stay socially connected from a distance. While Skype and Facetime have been available for video chats for years, Zoom has emerged as the clear technological winner in the field during this Covid-19 isolation period.  We here at AutoAccident.com have found the app to have a fast and reliable connection. We have been using it for staff meetings, and it was so simple to use that we began offering Zoom client meetings. New client meetings via Zoom help us establish trust and connection. The process of accessing Zoom is not difficult, and we will link a video and provide simple instructions below. The app is so popular that “zoom” has become a verb – so if you want to talk with us face-to-face about your case – let’s zoom!

Ease of Use and No Cost

The Zoom app is free for meetings shorter than 40 minutes and with fewer than 100 participants. Unlike FaceTime, the platform is available for Android phones and can be downloaded to any laptop or PC that has a microphone and camera. The app is reliable and is not affected by latency issues that plague other platforms. Zoom also brings a spirit of fun, something we are all looking for these days. There is something that makes you smile when you first see a screenful of your co-workers, family members, or friends. To add to the fun factor, members can upload a photograph or video to create their own personal background.

A Company with a Social Conscious

It is always nice to utilize a company that does good things in the world.  In response to the Covid-19 situation, which resulted in nationwide school shutdowns, Zoom CEO and founder Eric Yuam removed the 40-minute time limit for free accounts at thousands of schools across the United States, as well as those in other countries.

Begin Using Zoom

Once you begin using Zoom, we are sure you will continue to use it to keep in touch with family and friends throughout the month of April, or for however long our social distancing lasts.

Laptop / PC

  • Download Zoom to your Mac or PC. Explore the features, such as screen sharing, annotating, chat – you will not need these during a client meeting but you may want to get comfortable with some of its features and options. Try it out by hosting a test meeting.
  • Schedule a meeting with a friend or family member (our office will initiate the client meetings).
  • Sign in to your account at Zoom and play around with features like appearance filters and virtual backgrounds.

Mobile App

Download the free Zoom mobile app to your smartphone.  From your phone, you will be able to accept a meeting invitation, as well as schedule and host your own meetings.

Watch the YouTube Video.  We found a video that provides a simple tutorial on the use of Zoom on your phone.
