A car vs. pedestrian accident may cause some of the most traumatic injuries on the spectrum. This may include traumatic brain injuries, broken bones, internal trauma, spinal cord injuries, and more. When the incident was the result of a hit-and-run driver, an injured party may have recourse so long as they have uninsured motorist coverage on their insurance policy. This may help cover damages up to the limits of the insurance plan. If the party injured in the hit-and-run crash did not have auto insurance but lives with a household member who carries UM coverage, it may come into play.

If medical bills were incurred because of a pedestrian accident in Modesto, an injured party should not be left paying those expenses. An injured person may seek reimbursement for the costs of medical care associated with injuries sustained in the incident. If serious injuries are involved, the costs of future medical treatment may be recovered. Expert testimony from a medical professional may be necessary to establish that these losses are reasonable and necessary.
