A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a car crash on 2nd Street in Brentwood on December 10, 2023. The collision occurred at approximately 7:20 p.m. in the area of Oak Street and 2nd Street, police reported.

A preliminary release indicated that a driver was allegedly speeding southbound on 2nd Street when they crashed into another motorist at the intersection. The impact of the collision also caused a third vehicle to be involved in the crash.
Four parties were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries described as non-life-threatening, Brentwood PD reported. The motorist of the first car, a man from Oakland, age 23, was arrested on a DUI charge and booked into Contra Costa County Jail. An investigation is ongoing.
