Town Creek Cove Boat Accident Ends in Fatality at Shasta Lake
A 47-year-old man lost his life when a boat accident ends in fatality at Shasta Lake when the vessel collided with the shoreline on Thursday evening, June 18, 2026, ejecting three people into the water.
Boat Crashes at Town Creek Cove
The collision occurred at approximately 5:21 p.m. in Shasta Lake in Town Creek Cove on the Sulanharas Creek Arm.
According to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, the boat struck the shoreline, causing all three occupants to be thrown into the water. People aboard a nearby boat responded immediately, rescuing the victims and transporting them to Bridge Bay Marina.
One Man Dies, Child and Woman Survive
Emergency responders transported a 47-year-old man and a child to a local hospital for treatment. Despite lifesaving efforts, the 47-year-old man later succumbed to his injuries.
An adult woman who was also ejected from the boat survived the crash. Officials have not released information regarding the extent of her injuries or the child’s condition.
Life Jacket Use Under Investigation
Investigators believe the child was wearing a life jacket at the time of the collision. Authorities said neither of the adults on board was wearing a life jacket.
