Auto Accident Injures One Near Central Merced

What Happened?
Authorities from the Merced Police Department were called to the scene of an auto accident at the intersection of Glen Avenue and 21st Street at approximately 2:00 pm. Upon arrival, officials found a Volkswagen Beetle that appeared to have collided with the side of a red Toyota RAV4 SUV. Both vehicles reportedly sustained moderate damage as a result of the collision.
Nature of Injuries
An ambulance was called to the scene of the accident for needed medical attention. The Volkswagen driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment of possible facial injuries and head trauma. An update on their condition has not yet been released.
What Caused the Accident?
The cause of the accident has not yet been decided by investigators.
