MANTECA, CA — Authorities in Manteca are continuing to investigate a serious two-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday afternoon and left at least two people injured, according to the Manteca Police Department.
The collision happened around 3:30 p.m. near Yosemite Avenue and Swanson Road. Investigators said a vehicle traveling westbound turned in front of an eastbound vehicle, leading to the crash.

Authorities stated the driver of the westbound vehicle, a 44-year-old resident of Lathrop, was discovered unconscious in the back seat after the collision. Officials have not yet confirmed the severity of the driver’s injuries.

A 60-year-old passenger in that car, a resident of Manteca, was thrown from the vehicle and suffered multiple injuries in the crash.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle, a 36-year-old resident of Tracy, sustained minor injuries.

Emergency crews transported everyone who was hurt to a nearby hospital, where they received medical care.
