Lake California Offers Unique Approach to Community Living

Lake California in Tehama County is a private and gated community made up of nearly 6,000 acres. The city is surrounded by incredible views of Mt. Shasta, Mt. Lassen, and the Trinity/Siskiyou Mountain Ranges.

Over 4,000 residents in the Lake California community enjoy a unique way of life unlike no other. The town is built on supporting community amenities and activities that bring residents together. Aside from living near a beautiful lake and the Sacramento River, residents have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of exclusive amenities such as fishing, boating, horseback riding, camping, and more within the gated community.

The Lake Club

One of the best features of the community is the newly remodeled Lake Club. The club has a lounge with a full commercial kitchen, a full bar, a recreation room, a meeting room, and a patio right on the lake.  The club is a community hub for all activities, where residents can enjoy live music, group socials, and gatherings or hold meetings.

Lake California Campgrounds

For those who enjoy the great outdoors, the nearby campground is a haven. Residents and their guests have easy access to the private RV park and campground. The area encompasses 5,000 acres with numerous hiking trails that lead to the lake, creek, and river.

Lake California Airport

Getting to and leaving Lake California on a plane is more convenient than ever for residents. The Lake California Airport can be utilized by residents and their guests. The airport is assigned as a landing pad for helicopters in the case of an emergency or evacuation. However, residents can take advantage of the amenity and invite their guests to land there too.

Lake California Equestrian Center

Equestrian activity is a staple in Lake Calfornia. The boarding and training facility is open to all residents. Horse lovers can participate in various activities, including boarding, riding lessons, training, and horseback riding. The site has access to miles of trails along the lake and river.

Lake California Fire Department

Lake California residents are very fortunate to have their own fire department right in their community. Volunteers at the fire station are also residents of Lake California who pride themselves on keeping their community safe.

Aside from fires, the department also responds to other emergency situations like car accidents and medical calls. The volunteers are not only active in Lake California but also in surrounding areas.

Lake California Garden Club

The Garden Club was formed to further educate those interested in gardening through shared experience, knowledge, workshops, field trips, and guest speakers. Members of the Garden Club have completed many projects in the community, including a memorial rose garden, a community garden, and daffodil planting.

Recreation Amenities

Residents have access to all recreation amenities such as the swimming pool, the tennis court, the basketball court, the archery range, the disc golf course, river access, and a boat ramp.

Part of the Sacramento River that runs along Lake California provides access to some of the best fishing spots in Northern California.  Thousands of people travel from all over the world to fish along the Sacramento River.  The river access within the community makes this experience convenient for Lake California residents.

Lake California Celebration Team

Residents of Lake California are proud Americans who work hard all year round to keep an annual community tradition alive. Members of the Lake California Celebration Team raise funds by hosting monthly dinners to buy fireworks for their annual Fourth of July celebration. It is the largest community event of the year, where many residents invite guests to enjoy an impressive fireworks show. The festival also includes live music, a vintage car show, a decorated boat parade, and a kid’s bike parade.
