Driver Injured in Highway 70 Construction Zone Crash Near Wicks Corner
A woman was hospitalized Monday afternoon, February 9, 2026, following a serious rear-end collision in a Highway 70 Construction Zone Crash Near Wicks Corner at the State Route 149 split north of Oroville.
Around 12:30 p.m., a gold SUV traveling northbound struck a Caltrans work truck that had been stopped for several seconds due to active lane closures and slowed traffic. The impact sent the SUV into the center median, where it became pinned against a concrete wall.
