Oakland Ramp Collision Occurs at Richmond Parkway

An Oakland ramp collision left one person injured on January 22 after a two-vehicle crash on the Richmond Parkway on-ramp to westbound Interstate 80. The crash was reported at around 1:43 a.m. when officers arriving at the scene found one vehicle in the center divide and another stopped on the right-hand side of the ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), flames were seen coming from under the hood of one vehicle as emergency responders worked to secure the scene. One individual reportedly suffered a possible broken femur and was transported for medical evaluation. CHP officials noted that the vehicle had been parked on the right-hand side.
