STOCKTON, CA – A person is fighting for their life after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening in Stockton.

According to the Stockton Police Department, officers were called to the intersection of East Fremont and North East Streets around 6:28 p.m. following reports of a vehicle and pedestrian collision. When officers arrived, they found a 64-year-old individual who had been seriously injured. The person was taken to a nearby hospital, where they are receiving medical care.

Police shared that the driver involved stayed at the scene and is cooperating fully with investigators. Authorities continue to look into what led to the crash as they work to understand the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.

MANTECA, CA – A life was tragically lost following a serious crash that brought northbound Highway 99 in Manteca to a standstill on Friday, according to authorities.

The collision, which involved a big rig and a pickup truck towing a trailer, occurred near the Lathrop Road exit. The California Highway Patrol said one person in the pickup truck suffered critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Sadly, despite medical efforts, the individual later passed away.

All northbound lanes of Highway 99 were closed for several hours as crews responded to the scene and worked to clear the roadway. Traffic was fully reopened after 4 p.m. Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, and the cause has not yet been determined.
