On early Tuesday morning, September 23, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., a semi-truck crash on westbound Interstate 80 near West Paoli Lane, between Auburn and Colfax, caused significant traffic delays. The incident occurred just before 4 a.m., when the truck ended up on its side, blocking both the #2 lane and the W. Paoli Lane onramp.

Caltrans crews were dispatched to unload and move the truck, which left the #2 lane closed for most of the morning. Drivers were advised to expect delays while emergency and recovery operations were underway. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no injuries have been reported.
