One Dead and Child Injured in Rosemont Area Collision

A tragic crash left one dead and child injured in Rosemont area of Sacramento County on Sunday evening, June 15, 2025, has left one person dead and two others injured, including a child. The Sacramento Metro Fire and California Highway Patrol were called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident at approximately 5:50 p.m. at the crossroads of S. Watt Avenue and Kiefer Boulevard.

Deadly Sacramento Crash Under Investigation After Suspected Red-Light Violation

According to authorities, a man driving a Lexus sedan was traveling southbound on S. Watt Avenue alone, while a woman driving an Infiniti sedan was heading east on Kiefer Boulevard with a man and a child as passengers. CHP reports that one of the vehicles ran a red light, though it is not yet clear which driver was at fault. The woman driving the Infiniti was transported to the hospital with major injuries but sadly passed away. The male passenger sustained moderate injuries, and the child suffered minor injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
