Yuba City Injury Accident
I’m Ed Smith, a Yuba City car accident lawyer. On Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at approximately 2:15 p.m. an auto accident was reported to local law enforcement in Yuba City.
What Happened?
When first responders arrived on the scene at the intersection of Wilson Road and Highway 99, they discovered that a black Mercedes SUV and a gray Chevrolet Traverse had been involved in a broadside collision. An initial report alleged that the Chevrolet ran through the red light located on the northbound side of Highway 99 and broadsided the Mercedes.
Injuries Reported
Paramedics responded to the scene of the collision and transported at least two injured parties to an area hospital with minor to moderate injuries. The impact from the collision also caused unknown injuries to other unidentified parties. At this time it is not known if distracted driving or drugs and alcohol were a factor in the collision. Authorities are still investigating the accident.
Broadside Collision Information

- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Running a red light
- Fatigued Driving
- Unsafe left turn in front of oncoming traffic
- Reckless Driving.
