Tragic Pedestrian Accident in North Natomas Claims Young Man’s Life

A tragic pedestrian accident in North Natomas claims a young man’s life. A 19-year-old man lost his life Thursday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in the Westlake neighborhood of North Natomas, according to Sacramento police. Officers responded to the intersection of Del Paso Road and El Centro Road around 3:15 p.m. following reports of a pedestrian collision.

Authorities say the driver of the vehicle, who also sustained injuries, was arrested after showing signs of intoxication. The driver remains hospitalized. Firefighters pronounced the young man deceased at the scene. His identity will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after family notification.
