A two-vehicle accident between a paratransit van and Toyota Corolla occurred in Sacramento on March 2, resulting in injuries. The collision occurred on northbound S.R. 51 just south of Marconi Avenue around 12:25 p.m., blocking the fast lane. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that one party complained of chest pain while another had injured their left hand in the crash.

Injuries Reported in Two-Vehicle Accident

It is unknown whether those who suffered injuries received treatment at the accident scene or were transported to a hospital. The accident is under investigation to determine fault and how it occurred.

The Physical and Emotional Effects of Two-Vehicle Accidents

It is common for both drivers and passengers to suffer physical injuries and emotional trauma as a result of a two-vehicle accident. The severity of the crash can determine how severe the injuries are. They can range from minor cuts to severe trauma. Car accident injuries commonly include broken bones, whiplash, traumatic brain injuries, organ damage or even paralysis caused by spinal cord trauma.

Accident attorneys can assist you in recovering compensation when a negligent driver caused the two-vehicle crash that resulted in your medical bills, lost wages and other losses. Expenses related to medical care and other losses should not be paid by you alone. Those who caused harm should take responsibility for their actions.

Accident-Related Emotional Trauma

Those involved in two-vehicle accidents are also likely to suffer emotional trauma as a result. Shock, fear, nightmares, anxiety and other symptoms of emotional and psychological trauma may appear. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which is characterized by flashbacks and intrusive memories associated with accidents, is also a common symptom of car collisions. These serious symptoms often require professional treatment. In the event of a two-vehicle accident, your treatment costs can also be recovered.
