We even offer a booklet titled the California Motorcycle Accident Handbook, which answers many questions commonly asked by riders following an injury accident.

Compensation Recovery Following a Major Injury Accident

Investigating two-vehicle crashes with motorcyclists near Yuba City is essential to determine who was at fault. By doing so, the rider who was injured can seek compensation for the following in a personal injury claim:

  • Medical expenses: Medical costs incurred due to the significant injury accident are recoverable, including ambulance fees, hospital stays, physician’s bills, tests, surgeries, etc. Additionally, rehabilitation services are covered. The additional cost of medical care will be included if the injury remains unresolved when the time comes to settle.
  • Lost wages: Injured people who cannot work due to the accident can recover their lost wages. Several other items, such as tips, bonuses, lost insurance, and pension coverage, fall under lost wages. The salary difference is included if the employee cannot perform their job upon return. When an injured party is totally disabled, their wages can be recovered until retirement age is reached. Tax records and receipts can be used to establish income if the injured rider is self-employed.
  • Pain and suffering: Accident-related physical and emotional trauma, such as anxiety and depression, is covered by pain and suffering compensation. It is common for those injured in collisions to develop post-traumatic stress disorder. The cost is recoverable if treatment is required to recover from this disorder.
