Man Steals Ambulance

I’m Ed Smith, a Sacramento car accident lawyer. A man, for reasons that are not known, stole a parked ambulance from a hospital in Sacramento. The incident put authorities into a hot pursuit with the ambulance bandit. The chase came to an end when the man crashed the medical vehicle. Thankfully, no one else was injured as a result of this incident.

What Happened?

An ambulance was parked at the ambulance bay for Sutter Memorial Hospital when it was stolen by a male at approximately 3:00 am on Monday, October 31, 2016. An officer from the Sacramento Police Department had just received the report when he observed the identified stolen vehicle in the vicinity of Broadway and 5th Avenue. The officer then began following the stolen ambulance which turned into a long pursuit according to authorities. More officers joined the chase and attempted to stop the ambulance bandit as he entered Highway 99. The motorist later crashed south of Elverta Road where he was identified as 22-year-old Kenneth Javier. Javier was treated for his minor injuries at a local hospital and arrested.
