Dangers of an Electric Scooter Collision With a Driver

The dangers of a traffic accident to an electric scooter rider are significant. If you are hit by a car while riding your electric scooter, the chances of sustaining serious injuries are high. Even if you are wearing a helmet, the impact of the collision can cause traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord damage and other life-threatening trauma. If you are lucky enough to survive such an accident, you will likely face a long road to recovery. The best way to avoid being injured in a traffic accident is to always be aware of your surroundings and follow all traffic laws.

Electric Scooter Laws in California

In California, electric scooters are considered “motorized bicycles.” This means that they are subject to the same rules and regulations as other motorized vehicles on the road. Electric scooter riders must obey all traffic laws, including riding in the designated direction of travel, yielding to pedestrians, and coming to a complete stop at red lights and stop signs.

How Attorney Investigators Locate a Hit-and-Run Driver

If you have been hurt in an accident where the driver fled the scene, you may be wondering how attorneys and their investigators go about finding the driver who left. While it may seem like a daunting task, there are actually a number of ways that attorney investigators can locate a fleeing driver.

One of the first places that investigators will look is the police report. The police report will likely contain information about any witnesses who may have seen the accident. These witnesses can be invaluable in helping to identify the hit-and-run driver.

Investigators will also check to see if there are any surveillance cameras in the area where the accident took place. If there are surveillance cameras, investigators will review the footage to see if they can identify the hit-and-run driver. The area will also be searched for clues such as paint marks and dropped metal that can help identify the make and model of the vehicle.
