Seeking Justice and Financial Compensation in a Motorcycle Accident Case

A vehicle versus motorcycle collision may result in a wide array of injuries due to a biker’s exposure to the elements and the impact of other motor vehicles. As such, injuries in motorcycle crashes tend to be tragic and life-changing due to the lack of physical protection. Death may occur in some extreme cases. When the carelessness or negligence of another individual or entity is the root cause of the incident, an injured biker or surviving family member of a deceased motorcyclist may have grounds for a claim for damages against that party.

In a motorcycle collision, one or more parties may be held liable for the incident. In addition to the driver, other negligent parties may include the government entity for unsafe roadway conditions or a manufacturer for defective vehicle equipment. In the case of a stalled vehicle causing a roadway hazard to others, the motorist and/or owner of the vehicle may be held liable. This will be based on the facts and circumstances surrounding the case. Evidence that may be useful in proving negligence in these cases includes video footage, police reports, eyewitness accounts, expert testimony, and more.

Motorcycle collision cases are often challenging to navigate, particularly when serious injury or wrongful death is involved. An independent investigation by an experienced attorney is necessary to uncover the facts to identify negligent parties and properly establish liability. The insurance company representing the at-fault party will likely conduct their own investigation into the incident. It is not uncommon for insurers to search for evidence that may be disputed to argue and deny liability for a crash. An experienced attorney knows this and will work to ensure that their client’s rights are protected.
