Child and Two Adults Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash at Marconi Ave and Fulton Ave

A two-vehicle crash at Marconi Ave and Fulton Ave left a young child and two adults injured on Sunday afternoon at the intersection in Sacramento.

CHP investigators report that the collision occurred when a woman driving an SUV attempted to exit a parking lot onto southbound Fulton Avenue. The crash occurred around 1:45 p.m. on November 23, 2025, according to the California Highway Patrol. As the woman entered the roadway, her SUV was struck broadside by an oncoming sedan traveling through the intersection. A 5-year-old boy riding in the back seat of the sedan was among the injured.

Both the woman in the SUV and the child sustained moderate injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. A third individual involved in the collision also required medical care and was hospitalized with minor injuries.

Authorities have not released the identities of those involved, and the circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation.

Driving Safety Reminder: Exiting Parking Lots and Making Turns

Crashes like this often occur when drivers are entering or crossing busy roadways. To reduce the risk of similar incidents:

  • Come to a complete stop before entering traffic.
  • Check for approaching vehicles in all directions, including bicycles and motorcycles, which may be harder to see.
  • Avoid pulling out on a yellow or stale green light, as oncoming drivers may still be moving at full speed.
  • Take extra care when children are in the vehicle, ensuring they are properly restrained in age-appropriate car seats.
  • Be patient: wait for a large gap in traffic rather than trying to beat approaching vehicles.

These precautions help prevent dangerous broadside impacts, which often lead to serious injuries.

Why You Should Let an Experienced Attorney Handle a Child-Involved Collision Case

When a child is injured in a traffic collision, cases become more complex. An experienced personal injury attorney can:

  • Protect the child’s legal rights and ensure future medical needs are considered
  • Gather evidence, witness statements, and traffic camera footage
  • Handle communication with insurance companies that may attempt to downplay injuries
  • Coordinate with medical experts to properly document the child’s treatment and prognosis
  • Pursue compensation for medical costs, pain and suffering, and future care

Legal guidance is especially important when there are multiple injured parties and disputed liability, as often occurs when a driver pulls into the path of oncoming traffic.
