Two-Vehicle Collision on Broadway and 65th St Injures One in Sacramento
A two-vehicle collision on Broadway and 65th Street on Monday morning, December 8, 2025, left one person injured at the intersection in eastern Sacramento.
Sacramento Fire Department personnel responded to the scene, where they treated one injured individual before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further care.
The crash prompted emergency crews to temporarily secure the scene and remove the damaged vehicles, partially blocking the intersection and causing minor traffic delays for commuters in the Tahoe Park and East Sacramento areas. Authorities are currently investigating the incident to determine if factors such as speed, driver distraction, or failure to yield contributed to the collision.
No additional injuries were reported.
Pedestrian Safety Tips: Protect Yourself in Traffic
Pedestrians are especially vulnerable in traffic accidents, particularly at busy intersections like Broadway and 65th St. Staying safe requires vigilance from both drivers and walkers:
- Always use crosswalks and obey pedestrian signals.
- Make eye contact with drivers before crossing, ensuring they see you.
- Avoid distractions such as phones, headphones, or other devices while walking.
- Wear visible clothing at night or in low-light conditions to increase visibility.
- Be alert for turning vehicles, especially at intersections where vehicles may fail to yield.
Both pedestrians and drivers share responsibility for keeping intersections safe. Awareness and caution can prevent serious injuries.

If you are injured as a pedestrian, navigating insurance claims and legal proceedings can be complicated. Insurance companies may attempt to minimize settlements, and determining fault often involves complex investigation.
An attorney who specializes in pedestrian accidents can:
- Investigate the crash and gather evidence
- Communicate with insurance companies on your behalf
- Protect your legal rights and ensure fair treatment
- Pursue compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering
Having an experienced attorney on your side can make a significant difference in recovering full and fair compensation.
