Movement and Meditation

Date: Wednesday, June 6, 2018

Time: 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Location: 301 Mare Island Way, Vallejo, CA 94590

Admission: Free

This hour-long meditation session will focus on clearing the mind and increasing flexibility. Techniques such as deep gratitude breathing and spiral swimming movements will be incorporated to get everyone’s blood flowing. Be aware of your body’s limits and come explore within your own level of comfort. Dress in layers that allow for stretching and don’t forget to bring water. Stop by and remind yourself how relaxing it feels to ease your mind, body and soul through simple breathing exercises.

Kayak Practice and Fun

Date: Sunday, June 10, 2018

Time: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Location: TBA

Admission: $5 – $10 admission fee

Be prepared to get some sun and hit the waters. Kayaking & Biking Vallejo is excited to offer these adventurous missions that take advantage of the city’s vibrant waterfront. Come with your kayak, PFD life jacket, and gear if you have any, otherwise basic materials can be provided free of charge. Remember to come with non-cotton clothing, a towel and an extra outfit in case you fall into the water. People of all experience levels are encouraged to join.

12th Annual Northern California Pirate Festival

Date: Saturday, June 16, 2018

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Location: 289 Mare Island Way, Vallejo, CA 94590

Admission: $12 – $95 tickets online

Shiver me timbers, it’s already the 12th year of the Northern California Pirate Festival. In attendance, there will be more than 500 costumed actors and musicians, making this the largest pirate event in the country. The sword crossing, eye patch, peg-legged fan fest is back and better than ever before. There will be four entertainment stages, gourmet foods, nautically-inspired handcrafts, craft brewery, and ships to shore the outbreak of canon battles. Bring your entire crew and come practice your pirate voice.
