Mary Poppins Jr.
Date: Sunday, July 22, 2018
Time: 1:00 p.m.
Location: 717 Sutter Street, Folsom, CA 95630
Admission: $13 – $18 tickets online
A musical based on the famous Walt Disney film and the story of P.L. Travers. The jack of all trades, Bert, starts us off in England, 1910, with the troubled Banks family. Jane and Michael have chased many nannies out of the house, but this was before the arrival of Mary Poppins. Combining magic with common sense, Mary Poppins must show the family how to value one another again. The magical and memorable events she shares with Jane and Michael carry profound meaning that can be passed on to both kids and adults. Stop by for the fun performance and learn a lesson or two from the nanny that believes “anything can happen if you let it”.
Life Lessons Art Exhibit
Date: Monday, July 23, 2018
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: 48 Natoma Street, Folsom, CA 95630
Relationships are portrayed in Disney movies as having a “happy-ever-after” ending, but the sad reality is that 40 to 50 percent of all marriages fail. In the Gallery at 48 Natoma exhibit, three creative artists use a variety of media to explore different aspects of relationships. There will be fabric portraits, sculptures, and paintings that display the dichotomy between love and heartbreak.
