Auburn Crash Injures Two

I’m Ed Smith, an Auburn personal injury lawyer. A crash that happened on Monday, April 23, 2018, left at least two people with injuries. The individuals were taken to a local hospital for treatment after the accident that took place near Placer High. Auburn Police Department (APD) officers say that they are investigating what caused this injury accident , but have not yet found out the cause. The crash occurred at around 2:00 p.m. on High Street near the Oakwood Drive intersection. Police noted that the accident sent a car over the Oakwood Drive sidewalk and through a nearby chain-link wire fence. The vehicle then traveled around 15 feet down an embankment before finally stopping in a parking lot of the Taco Tree restaurant. Photos taken at the accident scene show that the vehicle was a small, red, four-door sedan. Images also show that the car received significant damage to its front driver’s side during the crash. No further info about how the accident was caused has been reported so far by APD.

Injuries

After they were alerted that people may have been hurt in the auto accident, APD sent emergency staff to respond. Officials stated that medics found two injured individuals at the crash scene. Police said that the two people did not seem to have been seriously injured, but that it was “too soon to know for sure.” No updates about the condition of the injured pair have been reported.

Investigation

Reports indicate that the police had finished their initial scene investigation by 3:00 p.m., about one hour after the accident. Road closures in place during 2:00-3:00 p.m. were reported to have caused some traffic congestion in the area as crews removed vehicles and debris from the scene.

Delayed Symptoms

Sometimes, an injury from a car accident isn’t noticeable right away. With injuries like neck trauma, internal bleeding, and traumatic brain injury, it can take people hours, days, and sometimes weeks to notice that they have been hurt. During this time, injuries can get worse and untreated symptoms can often lead to severe problems.

For this reason, it is vital to get medical care after being in a car accident. A trained doctor or medic will be able to tell if you have sustained injuries that require treatment. Not only is receiving a prompt medical evaluation necessary for your health but doing so is also crucial when seeking repayment for your damages because courts and insurance companies sometimes doubt the injuries of people who refuse initial medical care.
