Citrus Heights Mother Seeks Answers

I’m Ed Smith, a Sacramento Brain Injury Lawyer. A Citrus Heights mother is making a desperate plea to the public in hopes of learning what happened to her son that has left him in a coma since November 19th.

What Happened

Details about the events leading up to a 911 call reporting an unconscious man being left on a homeowner’s lawn on Rosswood Drive are still unknown. More than eight days later, the unconscious man, Tyler Petefish, is still in a coma. His mother and friends are asking the public to come forward with any information about what happened that night.

I would like to extend my sympathies to the family and friends of Mr. Petefish during this difficult time, and express my hopes for both his quick and full recovery, and that the negligent parties will come forward and take responsibility for their actions.

Anonymous Call

According to Tyler’s mother, an anonymous caller said that Tyler had been given drugs at a party and took a ride home with two acquaintances. Apparently, the driver of that vehicle hit a parked car at some point, causing Tyler to lose consciousness. The as of yet unidentified acquaintances then reportedly drove three miles from the scene of the accident before leaving Tyler on a stranger’s front lawn, where barking dogs alerted neighbors and prompted a 911 call.

Call to Action

In addition to asking for the public’s help in identifying the two individuals in the car with Tyler, a GoFundMe campaign has been started to both help Tyler’s mother pay for medical costs, and to fund a reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of any negligent parties.
