Hit-and-Run Accidents in California

As defined in California Vehicle Code 20001, any driver who is involved in an accident that results in injury or death to another party may face a charge of felony hit-and-run if that person departs from the scene of the collision. This law applies whether the person was or was not found at fault in the accident.
