September Events for the City of Antioch
I’m Ed Smith, an Antioch Wrongful Death Lawyer. Now that the 2017-2018 school year is officially in motion, we all have to find fun ways to decompress during our “free” time. Finding that perfect balance of social life and work can minimize your day-to-day stress, so you can wake up and look forward to the day you’re about to start! There is an abundance of community events this September, along with the first official day of Fall season being September 22nd. I have selected a handful of exciting community activites that will have you embracing the beginning of the fall season with a smile.

Wednesday nights are meant for Bingo at the VFW Post, where you could win up to $750 in one night. There will be lots of games to choose from, and you can even play one free progressive bingo game. If you tend to get hungry while you play games – look no further! The VFW Post will be stocked up on Hot Dogs, Nachos, Hamburgers, Chips, Drinks, and more. Did I forget to mention that wednesday night also happens to be $2 domestic beer night? Even if you would prefer not to play Bingo, you can stop by our bar and watch current sporting events on three big screens. Invite your friends to this carefree, laidback night of good games and good food.

Whether you’re a part of German culture or not, this buffet experience will make you feel as if you are walking down the roads of Munich! This event is inspired by the German holiday Oktoberfest, a folk festival of over 6 million people annually that gather together to watch costume parades, consume Bavarian beer, and enjoy the fairground rides. The Oktoberfest-themed dinner includes Bratwurst and Sauerkraut, Pork Schnitzel, Red Cabbage & Mashed Potatoes, Beef Goulash, German Spaetzle Dumplings, and more. Reservations are recommended for this event – there’s only enough food for 100 participants! Hopefully I will be seeing you there.
