Light Rail Train Fatally Injures Pedestrian Sacramento
I’m Ed Smith, a Sacramento wrongful death lawyer. An elderly man was walking in South Sacramento when he was struck by a light rail train during the morning hours of Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Unfortunately, the train accident caused the pedestrian to suffer fatal injuries.
A 65-year-old man was walking along the train tracks along 26th Avenue in the vicinity of the Fruitridge Light Rail Station at approximately 6:20 am. At the same time, a Regional Transit light rail train was traveling southbound along the tracks. The driver of the light rail train did not see the man and the train struck him. Unfortunately, the man passed away at the scene due to the collision.
We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the elderly man that passed away in this tragic accident.
