Foresthill Head-On Collision
I’m Ed Smith, an Auburn personal injury attorney. A Foresthill woman was driving along Foresthill Road in Foresthill during the late morning hours of Sunday, February 26, 2017. The woman was on her way to her sister’s birthday celebration. The woman’s commute was cut short when a wrong-way driver crashed into her vehicle head-on.
A Foresthill woman was behind the wheel of her Toyota Matrix traveling westbound along Foresthill Road in the vicinity of Lake Clementine Road. For reasons yet unclear, a driver of a Chevrolet Blazer traveling eastbound along Foresthill Road veered over the double-yellow center lines into oncoming traffic. The driver of the Blazer clipped one vehicle moments before crashing into 26-year-old Alexandra Edgmon’s Toyota Matrix head-on.
What Caused the Accident?
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) released a preliminary report in regard to the investigation of the car accident. The report indicated that 30-year-old Jason Locks from Foresthill allowed his Chevrolet Blazer to enter the wrong-way into the westbound flow of traffic. However, CHP has not yet released the cause of the accident. A Traffic Collision Report usually takes up to two weeks to be fully processed.
Were They Okay?
Jason Locks suffered injuries and was transported via ground ambulance to the Sutter Roseville Medical Center. Alexandra Edgmon suffered major injuries and was taken via ambulance helicopter to the Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
A GoFundMe page was set up by Michelle Eddy to cover Alexandra Edgon’s unexpected medical bills. The page indicated that Edgmon went into surgery on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 that lasted about five hours. Eddy added that Edgmon will be receiving more surgeries and facing a long recovery period.
