Highway 4 Fatal Head-On Collision
A man was behind the wheel of his silver 2006 Chevrolet traveling eastbound along Highway 4 in the vicinity of South Whiskey Slough Road in Stockton. The man veered over the double solid yellow lines into the westbound lane to overtake other vehicles along this two-lane roadway. An oncoming black 1991 Honda was traveling in the path of the man’s Chevrolet. This resulted in a tragic head-on collision.
Cause of the Crash
It usually takes 7 to 10 days for a traffic collision report to be released. Sometimes traffic reports can be inconclusive or in error as to fault. It is important to have an experienced car accident lawyer conduct an independent evaluation of the events leading up to a crash to properly determine liability (fault). An attorney can help those who have been injured or have lost a loved one recover compensation from the negligent driver.
Unfortunately, the 48-year-old man driving the black Honda suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene of the automobile accident. A 38-year-old woman was sitting in the front passenger seat of the Honda and suffered traumatic injuries. She was transported to the hospital where she later passed away. The 24-year-old driver that was operating the silver Chevrolet was treated at the hospital for minor injuries.
We extend our condolences to the family members of the two innocent victims that lost their lives in this tragic automobile accident.
