Vallejo Fire Department Vehicle Crash Injures Man

Vallejo Fire Department Crash

Elderly Man Seriously Injured

I’m Ed Smith, a Vallejo Auto Accident Attorney. An elderly man was seriously injured on Monday,  August 8, 2016, when the small pickup truck he was driving was involved in a crash with a vehicle being operated by the Vallejo Fire Department, according to a first response team.

The crash took place around 11:15 a.m. at the intersection of 5th and Lemon streets in Vallejo.

According to Vallejo Police Lt. H. Robinson, one vehicle was proceeding west along Lemon Street and the other was travelling along 5th Street when they crashed into each other at the intersection. The small, Chevy S-10 pickup truck ended up on its side. The driver and sole occupant inside, a 76-year-old male, required emergency extrication, according to authorities. The injured man was transported to an area hospital with what was believed to be moderate injuries to his leg.  The injured man’s pickup truck was totaled.

The Vallejo Fire Department vehicle, a Ford Explorer, will require some repairs, but will more than likely remain functional.
