Woodland Crash Injures Two Teens

I’m Ed Smith, a Woodland auto accident attorney.  Two teenagers were involved in a terrible crash in Woodland over the weekend.

What Happened?

A grisly crash happened on May 9, 2016 at about 12:45 a.m. in a neighborhood situated along Pioneer Avenue in Woodland. Residents were startled awake by the horrifying sound of scraping metal.

Two teenagers in a Honda lost control of their vehicle and collided with a group of trees lining the roadway located near Pioneer Avenue and Merritt Circle.

Were the Boys Seriously Injured?

Yes. Sadly, the boys were both ejected from the Honda and were lying in the middle of the road, according to Woodland Police. Their car was severed in half due to the amount of force from the impact.

The boys were transported to UC Davis Medical Center. Their condition has been described as critical.

What Caused The Crash?

An initial investigation by officers suggest that speed played a part in the crash. Officers will be trying to determine if alcohol or drugs may have also been a factor in the crash. Another factor being investigated is street racing.

It usually takes a couple of weeks for a traffic collision report to be prepared by the investigating agency. Sometimes longer if their are severe injuries and/or fatalities.

Were the Boys Students at Pioneer High School?

At least one of the boys attends Pioneer High School, according to a classmate. No other identifying information has been released by authorities.
