Stockton Pedestrian Dies

I’m Ed Smith, a Stockton pedestrian accident attorney.  A 57-year-old pedestrian lost his life in Stockton during the early morning hours of Sunday, April 17, 2016.

What Happened?

Stockton Police Department dispatched officers to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian in the vicinity of Wagner Heights Road and Thornton Road. There they found the man down who was soon thereafter taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Sadly, the victim did not survive the injuries he sustained from being struck by the motor vehicle.

Shortly after the motor vehicle collision with the pedestrian happened a second accident occurred. A drunk driver struck a police patrol car, causing extensive property damage, police said. Thankfully, no injuries were reported from that incident. The driver who rammed the police patrol car had been drinking. He was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.

What Caused the Crash?

It usually takes about ten days for a traffic collision report to be completed. No other information has been made available as to the cause of the collision. Many times an experienced auto accident attorney will be asked to investigate an accident scene especially when someone has lost their life. Occasionally, traffic collision reports are inconclusive or are in error leaving the family of the victim with many unanswered questions as to how and why their loved one died.
