With a riverboat and an amazing museum this is a great place to bring the whole family. They also offer many different tours throughout the day that can help you get the most out of your experience. Also, this is the perfect place for all of you train buffs out there because there will be plenty for you to see in the museum and gift shop. There is even a private karaoke room that you can rent out to have a little extra fun with your friends. 

Sutter’s Fort

Keeping with historic places comes Sutters Fort. This restored 1840s fort is a great place to learn more about the California Gold Rush which has a lot to do with why Sacramento is the way that it is today. This is a great place to go if you are interested in learning a little more about local history. There are guided and self-guidedtours so that you can move at your own pace as well. 

 B Street Theatre

If you were hoping for something a little bit more upbeat, the B Street Theatre might be more up your alley. It is a great place to see the newest plays or watch some of the classics. It is not very expensive and it is a great way to fit some art and culture into your trip without breaking the bank.It is a very small theatre, but that does not take anything away from it, in fact it makes it into a much more intimate experience. It has a very cozy atmosphere to it which can make you feel like you are the only one there watching this play with your loved ones. And they offer a huge variety of plays so there is sure to be something for everyone.

 Raging Waters

If you are more of an adrenaline junkie, then Raging Waters Sacramento might be the perfect place for you. They offer a huge variety of water slides, a lazy river and a wave pool along with much more. This is a great way to spend the day with your family, no matter how old your children are. There are slides and activities to suit any age group from young children right up to teenagers and adults. This is especially great on a hot day when you just want to cool day and relax and have some fun. 

 Sacramento Zoo

For the animal lover in your group is the Sacramento Zoo. This zoo is set on fifteen acres of land and boasts over one hundred and forty different species of animals. This is a great place if you love animals or if you have small children. It is a great place to teach them about animals and there are tours and informational sessions to attend or shows. There are also great exhibits that orate regularly such as an exhibit on all tall animals or on penguins. When you are headed to Sacramento, make sure to check out the zoos event calendar to see if anything exciting is going on while you are there because their events are definitely worth checking out. 

 Crocker Art Museum

For the art lover in the group there is the Crocker Art Museum. This museum is set in a beautiful old building that is almost just as beautiful as the art itself. They have some really famous pieces on display which always makes for an interesting experience to see something in real life that you have only ever before seen in photographs. 

 California Auto Museum

Last on our list is the California Auto Museum, Obviously, if cars are what makes you tick, and then this is the place for you. Here you will find old, rare, and expensive cars and be able to get a closer look at them. They also offer many different events like car shows and have rotation exhibits. Their event calendar is also worth checking out to see if there is a show going on while you are in Sacramento.
