Regional Transit Offers Elk Grove Free Ride Day
The City of Elk Grove and Regional Transit (RT) are joining forces to promote the recently-opened Blue Line to Consumnes River College light rail extension by offering free rides to residents of Elk Grove on Thursday, October 29, 2015.
How do I get on Free?
Simply show your California Driver’s License or California Identification Card with your Elk Grove address printed on it. You will then be permitted to ride RT buses and RT light rail trains all day for free.
Elk Grove Commuter Schedule
Elk Grove commuters are really encouraged to come out and give the Blue Line a try. Weekly commuter service on the newly-opened Blue Line starts with the first train leaving out of the Consumnes River College Station at 4:56 a.m. It ends with the last train arriving at the college at 11:51 p.m. These trains are in operation every fifteen minutes during the day and every thirty minutes during the evening and on weekends.
