Carmichael Motorcycle Accident Fatality

Motorcycle Accident Death in Carmichael

A motorcyclist died Wednesday, October 28, 2015, after losing control of the motorcycle and crashing in Carmichael.

Crash Happened on Madison Avenue

The accident happened at about 2:27 p.m. as the 39-year-old male was riding his 2005 Independence motorcycle. He was headed eastbound on Madison Avenue, just east of Rutland Drive, at a high speed, as reported by a California Highway Patrol press release. As the motorcycle proceeded into a right turn in the roadway, he suddenly lost control of the bike and struck a raised center divider.

Victim Struck a Tree at a High Rate of Speed

The motorcycle then continued out of control, traveling eastbound, and the rider struck a tree that was in the median.

Was Victim Wearing a Helmet?

Even though the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, his injuries were too severe to have survived.  Sadly, he died at the scene, according to the CHP.

The coroner’s office has not yet released the name of the man.

Were Drugs or Alcohol a Factor?

It is too early for CHP officials to determine whether or not drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.

Motorcycle accidents can be difficult to reconstruct and the police report is often incorrect. It takes an experienced motorcycle lawyer to conduct a proper investigation and assessment of the damages.
