Fatality Accident With Multiple Injuries Reported on I-80

A fatality accident near Davis that also involved multiple injuries occurred on September 24. The crash was reported on eastbound Interstate 80 near the Richards Boulevard off-ramp just after 10:00 p.m. A report of the collision released by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) said that a vehicle was going fast along eastbound I-80 when another vehicle entered its path in a lane change. 

Minor Injuries Occur in I-80 Traffic Accident

Minor injuries were reported in a June 25 traffic accident on the Dwight D. Eisenhower Highway east of Davis. The two-vehicle collision happened along I-80 at the Chiles Road off-ramp at about 11:34 a.m. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers determined the crash involved a Honda and an Audi.

Fatal Accident Occurs on County Road 36

A single-vehicle fatal accident occurred near Davis on April 21 when the driver of a sedan lost control. The vehicle overturned. The accident was reported around 12:18 p.m. along eastbound County Road 36 at the intersection with County Road 105. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers arrived at the scene to find the vehicle on its roof. The driver apparently died in the crash. An investigation is ongoing to determine why the collision occurred. 

Fleeing Driver Accident at Chiles Road Intersection Causes Pedestrian Injury

A pedestrian injury accident occurred on April 16 after the individual was struck by a hit-and-run driver east of Davis. The accident happened around 8:47 p.m. along Chiles Road at its intersection with County Road 105D. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the vehicle that fled the scene appeared to be a late 90s or 2000s red Honda SUV and that the taillight was knocked out. The extent of injuries to the pedestrian was not reported. An investigation is underway to locate the driver and determine how the collision occurred.

Driver Enters I-80 Exit Ramp and Causes Head-On Collision

A wrong-way crash in Davis on September 25 caused three fatalities and two major injuries. The accident happened on westbound I-80 when the driver of an Infiniti entered the highway going in the wrong direction near Richard Boulevard around 3:10 a.m. According to the report issued by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the Infiniti crashed head-on into a Hyundai.

Man Pushing Vehicle on I-80 Struck

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that late in the evening, on Monday, July 12, 2021, a person was struck and killed in the act of pushing a vehicle. This tragedy occurred near Davis, California, on Interstate 80 (I-80). Following that incident, a chain reaction of crashes occurred, involving a total of four vehicles.
